Originally from Canada, Sharon Carr has been a Midlands dweller in the UK for many years. Starting her storytelling career in 2010, Sharon has performed at festivals, museums, libraries, spoken word events and wherever she gets a chance to tell a tale!

Until two years ago, she was one of the resident storytellers at Birmingham Storytelling Café, and since leaving, now co-hosts with fellow storyteller Pyn Stockman, a storytelling/spoken word event StoryVibes featuring storytelling, spoken word and music every two months in south Birmingham, UK. The aim of StoryVibes is to promote storytelling – real life and traditional – and make it more inclusive with other spoken word art forms.

For the past four years, Sharon has had a short summer storytelling residency at Tudor House Museum in the city of Worcester in the UK.

Sharon is also aiming to extend her storytelling to working with people with dementia and their carers.
