MY STORY

This part of our site is a space open to everyone in our vibrant community to share their own stories.  There are five main types of stories we are inviting you to contribute:

A healing story or visualization

A memorial for loved ones who have passed on.

A personal story about your life experience.

A folk tale or fairy tale that has special meaning to you.

A short story or poem that you have written yourself.

We are all enchanted and inspired by our Master Tellers over in the Story Circle. But storytelling is something that all of us can share with our families, friends and neighbours. These stories can provoke our feelings, heal our emotional wounds,  stimulate our minds or remind us of our sense of morality and heroicism. Amusing stories that make us laugh and feel positive may even speed recovery from illness and strengthen the immune system.

World Storytelling Café co-founder Lucie Andersen-Wood offered our first “My Story”. Scroll to the bottom of this page to see how to submit yours.

SUBMISSIONS

Stories should be suitable for a family audience. Ideally please record your story on video, no special equipment is necessary, any smartphone will do, preferably in a landscape (horizontal) orientation.  If video is not possible then send your story in written form or share an audio recording. Please also let us know your name, the place you call home, the story title and a few words to explain what its about.

Please email your submission to: mystory.wsc@gmail.com
For longer videos it is best to use a file-sharing service like wetransfer or dropbox.

Lucie and her team of volunteers will be reviewing your emails and adding stories here from time to time. These will normally broadcast at midnight UK time. We hope that together we may spark a seed of joy, heal a weary heart or further inspire others as our community grows.
