Sharon Jacksties has been a professional traditional storyteller for 30 years. She has a particular interest in stories and place. This film of traditional animal stories, told on location in the Somerset landscape, is inspired by her new book ‘Animal Folk Tales of `Britain and Ireland’ which has also informed the course she will be teaching in November: ‘Telling it Naturally – Stories for a Greener Planet’. This will be at Halsway Manor,¬†where she teaches regularly. It is England’s only residential centre for the traditional arts, nestled in the Quantock Hills, Somerset, the country’s first designated area of outstanding natural beauty.
