David Heathfield is a storyteller who tells tales and runs workshops in the UK and around the world. He runs Creative and Engaging Storytelling for Teachers courses online and has worked online as a storyteller and storytelling teacher trainer internationally with the British Council, IATEFL and the Hands Up Project.
He has also travelled to do storytelling performances and workshops with learners of English and storytelling teacher training courses and workshops in Nepal, Brazil, Germany, The Netherlands, Denmark, Italy, Portugal, Austria, Slovakia, Turkey, Dubai and Libya.
He teaches English and is the author of the teacher resource and development books Storytelling With Our Students: Techniques for telling tales from around the world and Spontaneous Speaking: Drama Activities for Confidence and Fluency (both from DELTA Publishing).
David’s most recent video storytelling project is A Breath of Fresh Air – stories to get us through – a playlist of 100 short folk tales from around the world told near his home in Exeter, Devon, UK during the glorious spring and summer sunshine of 2020 in response to the global pandemic.
