Suzanne Arnold, aka Suzanne the Storyweaver has been telling tales and making stories since the 80’s. She has a warm and inclusive way of telling and particularly enjoys searching for stories with strong female protagonists, together with a focus on our connection to nature, and the magic of other realms.
From a sleepy hollow in Devon, a move to South East London catapulted her into the world of Community Arts on a large high-rise estate that changed her life for ever. She rediscovered a passion for stories and the medicine they offer in the sharing.
Her first forays into street theatre were with Marcel Steiner and the Smallest Theatre in the World, touring the country with such epics as A Tale of Two Cities and The Hunchback of Notre Dame. This gave her an opportunity to learn the intricacies of performance and improvisation in the most challenging of situations.
With a background in arts and drama, story making and puppetry, for the last 15 years Suzanne has concentrated solely on Storytelling.
She is the host and founder of the Tales and Ales Storytelling Nights at the Lock Inn, which has been running for 8 years.
