Born one of eight siblings to registered blind parents, she is a mesmerising, hypnotic storyteller and has been telling stories since childhood. She has received acclaim from many quarters and in 2022 she won the She Inspires Award and has been nominated for a Lifetime Achievement Award.

Nominated as Woman of the Year for her work in the education sector, she has been recognised as one of the 100 Most Inspirational Women in the book of that name.

She was a Board Director of The SfS, Society for Storytelling in England and Wales for 6 years where she organised the launch of their new website at The House of Commons in London which was a huge success and led to many opportunities for the society. She has also been successful working in Storytelling in Business and has been commissioned by many major companies in the UK.

An accredited storytelling tutor, she has Lectured on Storytelling at Universities in the UK and as far afield as Russia, Over 25 years she has amassed over 25.000 hours of storytelling in schools which makes her something of an expert in that field. .

Her mantra is that storytelling can and does change children’s lives.
