Jan Williams was born by the sea on the west coast of Wales. She loves telling stories about the master mariners of her home village of Borth. She now she lives by the Colne estuary in Brightlingsea with her lovely black and cat called Isabella. She has told tales of Essex history with her friends the Essex storytellers about battles, witches, pirates, dragons and ghosts. Her most popular books are An amazing storytelling cat and Essex folk stories for children. Look out in 2021 for her ghost story about a Suffolk priory and for a special event at the Essex Storytelling festival.
