Dee Palanisamy (Durgah Devi) is a multicultural storyteller based in Melbourne, Australia. She weaves her Singaporean-Tamil background in telling Asian folktales and stories to audiences around the world.
Dee loves ALL things stories and founded Deelightfultales, where she uses stories for performances, training, education and personal development. She has been a Speech & Drama educator for more than 12 years in Singapore, and her repertoire includes stories for children, adults and mature audiences.
After she moved to Australia 2015, Dee has been sharing stories and now works with the Newport Storytellers (Victoria), Generation Women Australia (Personal Storytelling) and is the current secretary of the Australian Storytelling Guild, NSW.
In December 2024, she was invited to be a Director of the Federation of Asian Storytellers (FEAST), and is grateful to connect with people and different communities through storytelling.
