Clare is a local author who has written many books for children, and whose poems have been published in over a hundred children’s anthologies. These include ‘The Works’, ‘Read Me And Laugh’ and  Julia Donaldson’s ‘Poems to Perform.’

She used to be a Primary School teacher, so she still enjoys visiting schools to entertain children of all ages, from Year One to Year Six. She has also run many writing workshops, including those organised by the ‘Able Writers’ team.

BUT

Did you know? She has now become Bracknell’s First Poet Laureate! So, as well as visiting Primary Schools, she also enjoys entertaining all sorts of groups with her ‘Poems On A Theme’.

She would be delighted to visit libraries, to pass on her love of Poetry and to perform some of her personal favourites.

Perhaps she will even inspire a new writer to become the Poet Laureate of the future.
