Anthony Galvin-Healy is a storyteller from the west of Ireland. He began as a magician and puppeteer, then worked with master storyteller John Row in Lapland for several weeks, after which he introduced more and more stories into his performance.
Now he performs in schools throughout Ireland, as a pure seanachai. He tells traditional folk tales but specialises in true tales, of Ireland’s pirate past, and of polar exploration. He tries to bring history alive by applying the skills of a storyteller to real events.
Anthony is also the author of more than 20 books across a range of genres. His first book was the most shoplifted book in Ireland. His latest, a series of five thrillers for adults, will be released this spring.
