Lisa is an Elder Bard of Ynys Witrin, sometimes known as Glastonbury, other times Avalon. She won the Bardic Chair and stepped into the role of Bard in 2013, serving her community and ‘elevating the word’ for a year and a day. Hosting Bardic fires at festivals, story circles in The Assembly Rooms and leading seasonal celebrations in town. She won the Glastonbury Festival poetry slam in 2019 and each year joins a small group of magical folk who lead ceremonies in the Green Fields.

In her performance and personal life, Lisa leans in to mystery, magic and living mythology. She has lived and worked in Glastonbury, England for over 15 years as a firewalk teacher, transformational leader, temple builder and bard.

Along with Max she is a founding member of the White Spring Sanctuary and helps to take care of this magnificent water temple under Glastonbury Tor.

Dedicated to creating sacred space, inspiration and magical transformation, she loves exploring inner landscapes, searching for hidden paths and liminal spaces where stories reside. Lisa believes we are all made of stories and discovering our personal mythology is a key to creating healing and empowerment.

Lisa’s ultimate dream is to become a full-time wandering bard, travelling where the word takes her. She absolutely loves being in Morocco. This 3rd festival in Marrakech opens a whole new chapter, she is looking forward to inspiring creative connection with people, land and spirit.
