Before I came to the UK from India in 2015, I worked as a journalist at All India radio and for news channels, newspapers and magazines.

I was first introduced to literature through the Hindi version of Russian folk stories, which my father used to read to me. My father, Rajendra Dani, is a renowned Hindi author and Assistant Editor of the prestigious and internationally acclaimed Indian literary magazine Pahal. That’s how my literary journey began and I now have a Master’s degree in English Literature.

My manuscript of the Hindi poetry collection Prarthnarat Battakhein was selected and honoured by the Indian High Commission in London in 2017 under the Publication Grant Scheme of Dr Laxmimal Singhvi. In 2018 the book was published by the prestigious Bhartiya Jnapith.

I received the prestigious Vagishwari Award of Madhya Pradesh for this collection. My poems are also published in the recent anthology Haan Kayam Hun Mai. I also have poems, articles and stories widely published in various literary magazines, newspapers and special issues.

I have recited my poems on Doordarshan (Indian equivalent of the BBC), All India Radio and at the Bharat Bhavan governmental arts centre, and have taken part in many live events and webinars.

I translate from English to Hindi and have started writing in the English language. Some of my poems are featured in the bilingual Austrian e-zine Words & Worlds.
